Features added to DEKSI Network Inventory Version 9.5.1:

Changed the group selection logics. Now when you select a group, all the sub-groups will be selected.
Added displaying the computer group information to the report templates. If a computer belongs to several groups, the first group name will be displayed.
Added displaying the current group's computer count in the status bar.
Improved the program stability when it imports computers from Active Directory.
Added the "Denied Software" and "Unknown Software" reports.

Added the Application Manager. You can see the list of computers that have a certain application installed.
Added the "Denied Software" category. The software that is contained in the "authorized" software list is considered as "nonauthorized". You can also configure the "denied" software list. After that, the "nonauthorized" will contain the "denied" software and "unknown" software. You can watch and configure all these categories using the new Application Manager window.

Added a report on Mapped Drives that displays the drives networked paths
Added counting copies of software (in the License Manager) detected by the registry scanning. When a program is copied to a computer (but not installed), it is not displayed in the list of installed software on this computer. You can configure registry keys to be scanned (see the "License Information" section in the program setings) and all the found programs will be considered as installed in the License manager. However, a deleted program can leave its data in the registry. Such program can be detected and counted as installed.

DEKSI Network Inventory will list your dead pc's. You can view a list of computers which have not been polled for a specified period of time (for example, two weeks).

DEKSI Network Inventory will create a database that lists the hardware installed on your remote computers with information such as memory size, CPU's, USB flash drives, hard drives, CD or DVD drives, videocards and much more.

It's vitally important to have reports about the software installed on your network computers and DEKSI Network Inventory will report on specific software programs and the quantity installed and will create reports on operation system versions, updates, bug fixes, and many more.

With DEKSI Network Inventory you can design your own reports. For example, suppose you need a report that shows which computers have less than sufficient RAM size or hard drive space. You may want a report that tells you a specific CPU model number, or a report about the different printers your users have installed on their computers. This type of report will prove extremely valuable to you when upgrading computers in your network.

CONFIGURATION CHANGES
DEKSI Network Inventory allows you to view changes made to your configuration and will show you when users connected new devices to their computers or when they changed the hardware in their computers. You can also learn what new software programs your users added to their computers.

DEKSI Network Inventory is installed on the network administrator's computer and uses WMI technology for scanning hardware and software on remote computers. It does not require installing any additional installation on network computers!
